time flies when you're having fun

I know in all likely hood I'm talking to myself, but here goes anyways.
Two years later and I've decided to give this blogging lark another go after being inspired (again) by some fantastic blogs. I would have been back sooner but I've sort of had my hands full.
I am now a very proud, first time mammy to a beautiful baby boy, hes just turned one year old so hopefully I'll have a little bit of spare time when I can actually stay awake.
My interests and hobbies have also changed in the past year or so which I hope will be reflected in the blog. I won't bore you with the details - I guess I'll just blog about whats happening and (hopefully) my blog will evolve into something mildly entertaining.

I finally gave in to temptation and invested in a cricut - These are the first four cards i've made using it and all i can say is its addictive.

Another couple of cards which have been keeping me busy, this one is a birthday card for a friend. The image is from hero arts, coloured with pro markers and decoupaged. The patterned papers are from CCSR and the sentiment is computer generated.

This second card is for Clare Curds sketch challenge on the docrafts site. I ended up using a stamp and papers from CCSR although I had intended to use one or the other. Again it was coloured using pro markers (which i am still struggling with). I was checking dawns stamping thoughts today and watched her tutorial on this kind of card and just had to give it a go. Her tutorial gives great instructions - although I did attach it to a card blank to make it more of a "secret message" card

Sorry its been a while since I've posted. With one thing or another I havent had five minutes. I did get my cards completed for Scotland but, unfortunately as I was literally working on them up until the last minute I didnt get to photograph many of them. I have a couple of pics though - the cards are pretty simple, made using my beloved cuttlebug and nesties.

This is the first of hopefully many Mothers Days Cards I am making. They are going to an art gallery in Scotland and I have to have them ready by Friday morning. I'll keep posting as they are ready. This one is made with Laura Ashley products. The main image is decoupaged with ribbons and buttons added for interest.

This is a card I've made for a fellow crafter from docrafts which was inspired by one of the very talented folk at splitcoaststampers Unfortunately I've accidentally deleted the link so can't actually credit the individual. Its a very simple card made with K&Co patterned papers and DCWV cardstock. The flowers are doodled with PM adhesive pearls placed in the centre and I heat embossed the chipboard letters to change them to a matching colour and add texture. I was delberating whether to add ribbon to the left hand side but eventually decided against it as I quite like the simplicity of the card.

To be in with a chance of winning elzybells latest stamp sets make sure to visit their site before Friday. The new stamps are adorable and choosing between them is just to difficult. While I make my mind up I think i'll just have a coffee and a nice sticky bun (or two) Hmm wonder what gave me that idea :)
