This is a card I've made for a fellow crafter from docrafts which was inspired by one of the very talented folk at splitcoaststampers Unfortunately I've accidentally deleted the link so can't actually credit the individual. Its a very simple card made with K&Co patterned papers and DCWV cardstock. The flowers are doodled with PM adhesive pearls placed in the centre and I heat embossed the chipboard letters to change them to a matching colour and add texture. I was delberating whether to add ribbon to the left hand side but eventually decided against it as I quite like the simplicity of the card.

To be in with a chance of winning elzybells latest stamp sets make sure to visit their site before Friday. The new stamps are adorable and choosing between them is just to difficult. While I make my mind up I think i'll just have a coffee and a nice sticky bun (or two) Hmm wonder what gave me that idea :)

Does this count as day two of my blog, even though technically its the same date, it feels like day two cos it was the early hours of the morning when I actually got round to setting up my blog. I've got a cold at the mo and couldn't sleep last night for coughing. Okay enough of my ramblings, thought I share the card I made for my sister and brother in-laws wedding anniversary. Their anniversary was on Valentines day ( they got married on a beach in Barbados - how romantic is that! ) and even though it was ready in time to my absolute shame she still hasn't received it yet.....I really am the most disorganised person in the world, so if you're reading Cathy - Happy Anniversary.

Its quite a simple card inspired by the wonderful Sue Nelson of heartprints. Off white linen effect cardstock (from Easons) embossed with my trusty cuttlebug folders .... 'D'vine swirl' for the main body of the card and a border from the 'with love' borders set. The hearts are cut from a red velvet effect paper with a cuttlebug die and a few gems for bling.... hope you like it Cathy

xx

Yikes my first post..... I've no idea what to write so I'll start with showing a card I recently made for a colleagues birthday. Nicola is a joy to work with, (in fact my whole team is but), back to Nicola. She is celebrating her 21st birthday this week and on Saturday night a whole bunch of them went out in Belfast dressed up in salior outfits. I cannot wait to see the pics and hear about what they got up to and if I ask nicely they might even let me share a few here.
Coming up with a card to fit the bill was easier said than done but I am quite pleased with the end result and Nicola seemed delighted with it.
I've used HOTP Papers, apart from the watery effect paper which came from Craftworld - I'm not sure who makes it but it only comes in A3 sheets. The "porthole" was cut with my beloved nesties and the "rivets" are brads. The numbers (which came in a QVC kit) where heat embossed to match the gold and the sentiment was computer generated.
So thats it - my first post on my own blog, I need to catch a grip, at the minute I am alternating between feeling so very proud of myself and nervous as hell, time to get some sleep and a little perspective me thinks.
