Sketch Saturday #298

Now I'm  starting to get worried - I really am getting ahead of myself :)

I've only gone and made a card that I'm not gonna need till September - how's that for organised.  I mustn't be well or something because this is so unlike me.  When someone gets a card from me the glue is usually still wet.

When I saw this weeks sketch at sketch Saturday, I immediately saw a Polaroid photo sitting on an envelope.  So, I just went with that idea and ended up with this.

The image is a digi from tiddly inks, coloured with copics, everything else was just laying around my craft room - some of it literally
Hmm - I'm not too sure about this one, and it's totally not the card I set out to make.

I'd all my papers picked before I coloured in the image and then when it came to putting the card together I changed them all.

I think this may well be one I pick apart and recycle.

Thank you teacher - popup box card

Look at me getting all organised, it soo won't last.  :)

I have lots of teacher cards to make this year, I have to do four for my little boy and at least another four for my nephews.  I really enjoyed making the pop up box a few days ago so decided to try and create another one.  The papers and die cuts were all printed and cut from Nitwits Live'n'Learn Collection apart from the 'school report' which I created on craftartist.

Now I just have to decide whether to make eight like this or try to come up with a few other designs.

Art Deco Mother's Day Card

I created this stepper card with a mixture of spellbinders dies, papermania paper and a kanban image.  The finished card measures 8" x 7" and I had a bit of a nightmare working out the measurements - but I managed it.  It's not a colour scheme I would usually go with but I have to admit I'm quite pleased with the finished card.

Kanban Design Team Call

Like the proverbial bad penny, I am back.  I decided to resurrect my neglected blog when I read one of my favourite companies was having a DT Call.  I've never applied to be on a design team before, but I thought Kanban might be a good place to start as it was a kanban kit that first got me into crafting.  That's got to be an omen - right?

So here is the card I'm hoping will impress :)

There are loads of tutorials online for making this style of card and it's actually much easier than it looks.  The papers and toppers are, of course, by Kanban and from there Well Wishes & Celebrations collections.

Details of the DT Call can be found on their fb page.
