And now for something completely different

Any one who knows me will tell you I leave everything to the last minute.  No matter how organised I try to be (and I really do try) I never ever quite manage it.  So this specific card was particularly challenging.  It is for my son, Jack and had to be posted at least four weeks before his birthday.  So, true to form, even though I'd been planning on making this card for a while it was four weeks to the day before his birthday that I actually got round to putting it together.  It is definitely not the best or most competent card I've ever made, but it is my favourite, and fingers crossed, if you live in the UK and have children under four you just might see it on a tv near you.

Meljens Challenge #102

1.25am with flash
1.25am without flash

Sorry about the rubbish photos - I haven't had a minute all day so it was nearly 2am before I had a chance to take a picture of my challenge entry and funnily enough the light wasn't too great.

I printed Meljens gorgeous image off twice onto pearlised cardstock and, after colouring with copics and promarkers cut the little birds out and used foam pads to give them a bit of dimension.  I used glossy accents and glitter on the heart, a Martha Stewart punch to create a sort of doily type frame and a cuttlebug embossing folder.  Some ribbon and a 'handmade with love' heart charm from my stash and thats about it.

I'm off to bed now and no doubt tomorrow when I read this back it will make no sense whatsoever so if you are reading this, thank you for bearing with me.  xx
